Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include: 30 Days : Gain a deep understanding of Beam’s subsea robotic systems, team structure and operational processes. Build relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients. 60 Days: Lead active subsea robotics projects, ensuring safe and efficient operations while optimizing system performance. 9 0 Days: and beyond: Drive strategic initiatives for innovation, and continuous improvement, contributing to Beam’s leadership in subsea robotics technology. Additional Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Management Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of technicians and operators, focusing on the operation and maintenance of subsea robotic systems. Foster innovation within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and collaboration with academic or industry partners. Subsea Robotic Operations Oversee the deployment and operation of subsea robotic systems to ensure safe, efficient, and successful mission outcomes. Collaborate with project managers, offshore personnel, and clients to plan subsea operations, including mobilization, demobilization, and troubleshooting. Monitor the performance of robotic systems in real-time during operations and implement strategies for optimizing performance and reducing downtime. Maintenance and Technical Support Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to and procedures are followed to ensure the reliability and availability of subsea robotic systems. Coordinate repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnostics of systems in the field and at the workshop, ensuring that technical issues are resolved efficiently Project Management and Client Relations Provide technical reports and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and senior management, summarizing operational results and system performance Research and Development Stay informed about the latest advancements in subsea robotics, including new sensors, tools, and software systems that can enhance operational capabilities. Drive research and development initiatives, exploring ways to improve the performance, efficiency, and safety of subsea robotic systems. You don’t have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role: Qualifications and extensive offshore operational experience in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering Experience in Subsea robotics, with a proven track record in the deployment and management of subsea robotic systems. Experience in leading a diverse team and delivering results to tight deadlines Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for subsea operations (e.g., IMCA, DNV) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting to stakeholders and coordinating team efforts. Certifications in Subsea operations and offshore safety.
