Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Area Manager to support and develop a team of service and deputy managers to oversee our mental health and learning disability services across Nottingham and Derby. This is a key leadership role where you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and improving mental health services to meet the needs of the people we support and align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service Oversight: Oversee multiple managers and mental health services, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and deliver exceptional care tailored to the needs of individuals.
* Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to service managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.
* Operational Management: Ensure effective day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, performance management, and compliance with policies and procedures.
* Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic development of mental health services, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of services, implementing improvement plans to meet and exceed regulatory and organizational standards.
* Budget Management: Oversee service budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining the highest standards of care.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including local authorities, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
* Compliance: Ensure all services operate in compliance with relevant legislation, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations.
* Safeguarding: Act as a key point of contact for safeguarding, ensuring all incidents are managed effectively and in line with organizational policies.
Key Skills & Requirements:
* Qualifications:
o A level 5 PBS or commitment to undertake
o Level 5 Health and Social Care
o Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, or a related field is desirable.
o Management qualifications or equivalent experience in a leadership role.
* Experience:
o Proven experience in managing multiple services within the mental health or social care sector.
o Strong understanding of mental health issues and the challenges faced by individuals accessing support services.
o Demonstrated success in managing budgets, teams, and service performance.
* Skills:
o Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
o Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
o Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act and safeguarding policies.
* Other Requirements:
o Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
o Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
