Position Overview: My client, a top Global company, is currently looking to recruit a Data Project Manager for Sustainability and Governance to join their team on a contract basis. Please note if successful you will need to set up via an Umbrella Company/PAYE. The role involves driving key data activities across data foundations, metric delivery, and reporting, bridging the gap between data discovery and ingestion, and metric reporting requirements.
Skill Requirements:
* Data domain expertise, including an understanding of data governance, modelling and engineering principles and ways of working.
* Stakeholder engagement and management.
* Strong data Platforms/Foundations technical experience.
* Experience in the Sustainability domain desirable, but not essential.
Essential Experience:
* Experience as a Data Project Manager or similar roles in a product-led environment within R&D, QSC, Customer, Consumer, Finance, HR etc.
* Experience working on a data project lifecycle.
* Experience with Azure Data Lakes and The Power Apps Platform is highly desirable.
* Managed project prioritisation for data-driven products.
* Hands-on technical experience (i.e. Data Analytics, Data Modelling, Data Engineering, Cloud Platforms, BI).
* Knowledge of Data Governance processes and best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively convey complex requirements and work with a mixture of senior technical and non-technical stakeholders, focusing on value and prioritisation.
* Experience working within a Data Office and/or Data Platforms business area.
* Experience working and delivering through an agile methodology to deliver rapid value to business stakeholders.
* Project management skills, including interpersonal skills, research, communications (especially listening), demonstrated influence, and the ability to have crucial and difficult conversations.
Preferred Experience:
* A knowledge of the FMCG or Sustainability industries and external perspective on challenges and innovation opportunities.
* Significant experience successfully delivering complex projects to a high standard and within short timeframes. Desirable recent examples of delivery of data or technology products/projects.
* Experience working with MS Purview or other data cataloguing tools.
* Desirable experience working with key product artefacts and reports.
