Job Introduction
The Global Process Owner (GPO) for Record to Report (R2R) owns the end-to-end process across a number of different process teams and business unit boundaries. With the support of our technology teams, the GPO has the authority to deliver technological and process changes. The role will work closely with the Head of Transformation and other GPOs to align on ways of working and opportunities.
The role will lead on the standardisation, automation and streamlining of relevant processes to both align with industry best practice and support financial transformation. The GPO has ultimate responsibility for the strategic and operational performance of R2R along with realising its objectives which will be supported and measured by key process indicators.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for actively defining and monitoring the end-to-end process and performance of R2R, identifying and leading continuous improvement to enhance efficiencies and drive standardisation.
* Responsible for managing process documentation, standard operating procedures, data governance and training material.
* Responsible for defining and monitoring service levels and KPIs with the BPO Outsourcer, including service reviews and dealing with major service events.
* Responsible for managing interactions between the BBC and BPO Outsourcer, acting as a both a point of contact and escalation route for local teams.
* Ensuring all relevant staff and the BPO Outsourcer receives adequate training to understand the wider context of the BBC as well as to understand their day-to-day roles.
* Works with all the relevant stakeholders, business, talent accounting, legal, business affairs and finance teams to ensure best practice is applied across R2R activities.
* Responsible for influencing and aligning multiple stakeholders to ensure consistent and efficient processes are in place, which are aligned to business needs.
Are you the right candidate?
* Comprehensive understanding of business and data analysis practices, tools and techniques such as requirements engineering, structured analysis and design, process mapping and business modelling.
* Comprehensive leadership of technical product management and development methodologies underpinned by strong software design principles.
* Demonstrable experience of policy implementation, best practice and process improvement with evidence of implementing process standardisation and improvements.
* Ability to simplify and translate complex problems, processes or projects into component parts and to explore them strategically and systematically.
* Effective communication skills, with an ability to influence and align a diverse group of senior stakeholders throughout the organisation.
* Experience of large ERP systems and associated processes (SAP ECC6, S4/Hana, SAP Analytics Cloud and BPC/AFO).
* Experience and extensive knowledge of business operations in a complex, global business, across multiple areas of finance and outsourced functions.
* Experience of audit, control and compliance in a global finance environment.
* Change management skillset to understand what changes have to be made and how to drive them at every level.
* Desirable - Project/Programme Management experience with related qualification.
* Desirable - Professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, ICM, MCIPS or similar).
