Are you an experienced API Developer with a passion for innovation and excellence? Our Client in Edinburgh, an established Fintech organisation, is looking for a talented API Developer to join their team on an initial 3-month Contract basis. If you're available now/at short notice and familiar with innovative FinTech solutions, we're keen to hear from you!
Role Overview: As an API Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing/enhancing new services, ensuring high-quality, secure, and fit-for-purpose code that meets business and architectural requirements.
To be successful, skills & experience should include:
1. Extensive Software Development & API Development experience, ideally with a focus on innovative FinTech Solutions
2. Proficiency in AWS services (Amazon Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway, S3) with the ability to create an API Gateway
3. Additional knowledge/experience with mTLS authentication, OAuth, RESTful API development (OpenAPI, JSON Schema)
4. Strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js
5. Knowledge of serverless computing (AWS Lambda)
6. Experience with relational databases (MySQL on AWS Aurora)
Desirable skills & experience (that would be helpful but not essential):
* Any additional knowledge/experience in the likes of Amazon SES, AWS Step Functions, Ant Design, Yarn, Webpack, Puppeteer, TypeORM, FoalTS, GatherContent
* CI/CD configuration (Azure Pipelines)
* Experience in the Financial Services / FinTech industry
