As an AV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of our video and audio productions. You’ll collaborate with producers, hosts, and technical teams to create high-quality, engaging content that resonates with millions of viewers and listeners whilst being flexible to attend to different shoots at different days and times of the week.

The Fellas Studios is a leading podcast production company known for producing some of the UK’s most popular video podcasts, including The Fellas, Saving Grace, and plenty more. With a mission to redefine podcasting for Gen Z and beyond, we specialise in creating dynamic video and audio experiences. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an innovative AV Technician to join our team and help us push the boundaries of podcast production.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Audio & Video Recording:
* Operate and maintain professional-grade cameras, microphones, and lighting equipment during podcast recordings.
* Ensure audio clarity and video quality across all recordings, addressing issues in real time.
Equipment Management:
* Set up and dismantle recording equipment before and after shoots.
* Perform routine maintenance on all AV equipment, keeping it in optimal condition.
Post-Production Support:
* Assist editors with transferring recorded footage and audio files.
* Collaborate on technical troubleshooting to meet editing requirements.
Studio Operations:
* Oversee the technical setup of studio spaces to ensure a consistent visual and audio experience.
* Implement soundproofing measures and manage studio acoustics for improved audio quality.
Innovation:
* Stay updated on industry trends and new technology to enhance production quality.
* Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements to keep The Fellas Studios at the forefront of podcasting.
Requirements
Experience:
* 3+ years as an AV Technician or similar role, ideally in podcasting, broadcasting, or video production.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency with industry-standard AV equipment, including DSLR/mirrorless cameras, audio mixers, and lighting rigs.
* Strong knowledge of audio and video recording techniques, live streams, mixing, and mastering.
* Familiarity with software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, or similar editing tools.
Creativity & Problem-Solving:
* Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and troubleshoot technical challenges on the fly.
Collaboration:
* A team player who communicates effectively with creative and technical teams.
Salary
£35 - 40k Annually
