The UK office was founded in 1969 as first international office. Role/ Department:
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales UK, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth in a strategically important market. This high-impact position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of capital raising across potentially complex investment arrangements with UK institutional investors.
The ideal candidate will bring an established network of senior connections and a deep understanding of the UK asset management market, possesses strong personal leadership, strategic planning and business development expertise. Northern Trust is looking for an authentic, assertive, collaborative, and proactive individual to further strengthen the team.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Develop new business plan and pipeline together with the team.
* Define sales strategy for the institutional market segments, with focus areas and success factors to excel with the team.
* Maintain and expand strong network in the UK institutional asset owner community.
* Manage pipeline, metrics and progress of results.
* Work closely with Relationship Management and Account Management teams to ensure client servicing expectations are exceeded at all times.
* Be a contributing member of a team that thrives on partnership, innovation, and execution; a team player.
* Strong focus on cultural behaviours: connect, understand, listen, resolve, work towards solutions, accountable, entrepreneurial and committed.
Skills/ Qualifications:
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
* Multi-asset class experience with additional focus on Quant, Alternatives, ESG and co-creating institutional investment solutions.
* Very strong knowledge of and network within the UK institutional market (who are the main actors – industry initiatives, themes, and policy).
* A strong track record in sales within the UK asset management industry.
* Experience in working within high-performing teams (whilst currently a sole operator role, strong mentoring of colleagues is expected).
