* Are you looking for flexible work that fits around your schedule?
* Do you have strong communication skills and a positive attitude?
* Would you like to work in a rewarding role working locally in Stockton-on-Tees?
Then look no further! Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council are seeking to recruit a number of Cleaning Assistants to join our Cleaning Service on a casual basis.
The roles currently on offer are casual posts, meaning you will work as-and-when needed by the service based on your availability, allowing you to fit work in with your other commitments. Many of our permanent members of the team started with us on a casual basis and enjoyed it so much that they then applied for permanent roles within the service.
About Us
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council prides itself on being a great place to work where staff are trusted, valued and supported to make a positive contribution at work.
We provide cleaning services for a number of Council buildings and schools, including our new modern, main office Dunedin House. Working for our Cleaning Service is uniquely rewarding, as we offer vital services to the local communities of Stockton-on-Tees.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for providing an excellent cleaning service in our buildings, working efficiently to complete your tasks to a high standard. You will ensure the safe operation and storage of cleaning equipment and machinery, including monitoring stock levels as needed.
What do you need?
Previous experience would be advantageous but is not required – just a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, a customer focused approach, and to be able to lift and carry cleaning equipment.
As most of the roles available will involve working in schools, you will also need to undergo safeguarding checks including an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
For an informal discussion about the posts on offer, please contact Chris Tait on 01642 526182.
We look forward to reading your application.
