Job Description
1. Develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with the company's objectives
2. Oversee buying, inventory management, and product selection
3. Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling product presentations
4. Use data and analytics to optimise product performance and customer satisfaction
5. Drive financial performance and growth for the retail department
6. Foster strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
7. Lead and mentor a high-performing merchandising team
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Merchandising should have:
1. Extensive knowledge of retail merchandising within a fashion retailer
2. Experience at either merchandising manager or Head of Merchandising level for 3 years+
3. Strong leadership and team management skills
4. Excellent analytical abilities and understanding of retail KPIs
5. Strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain relationships with suppliers
6. A customer-centric approach and ability to understand market trends
7. Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
