Role overview The van underwriting (UW) manager will own the development of the next phase of Hastings van UW strategy, looking for opportunities to create value through development proposals that will change how we price, footprint & product design for vehicles. You’ll need to have demonstrable experience in: Commercial vehicle footprint management and associated risks controls, rating requirements and reporting Price change recommendations to insure new segments achieve target loss ratio supported through analysis Emerging trends within the van market that could advance our market share through underwriting, pricing & commercial capabilities Developing & delivering new insights, including the integration of new data, new analytical techniques and new ways of underwriting van Essential skills we would love you to have: You are a strong communicator, and enjoy articulating problems concisely to key stakeholders at various levels.
