Position: School House Parent
Location: NN2, Northampton
Are you passionate about nurturing and guiding young minds in a supportive and diverse environment? I’m currently working with my client school based in NN2 who are a prestigious boarding international school located in the heart of Northampton and are actively seeking dedicated and compassionate House parents to join their team as of September 2024.
Responsibilities include
Student welfare – Provide pastoral care and support to students ensuring their well-being, safety and happiness during their school life
Community building – Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the boarding house encouraging respect, cooperation and friendships amongst the students
Daily supervision – Oversee daily routines, including wake-up, study time, and bedtime
Guidance and mentorship – Offer personal guidance and academic support
Communication – Maintain open and effective communication with parents, teachers and school administration staff regarding student progress and concerns
Requirements
Previous experience in a pastoral and/or educational role, preferably in a boarding school setting
A degree in Education, Psychology, social work or a related field
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Being a patient, empathetic, and resilient person

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
