Job Title: Lecturer in Digital
Job Type: Part-Time 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £33,000 - £41,108 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE)
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Lecturer in Digital to join our team. As a Lecturer in Digital, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure successful learner outcomes and help every student reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment services to ensure that each student achieves their desired outcomes. It would be desirable for candidates to have experience or a solid understanding of T-Level delivery requirements and DPDD (Digital Production, Design and Development).
Key Responsibilities
* Teach students enrolled in a range of digital courses
* Implement appropriate feedback and assessment systems to ensure learner progress
* Manage courses or parts of courses including administration and organisation
* Contribute to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation
* Maintain a professional learning environment in the classroom
* Update teaching expertise and skills to continually develop teaching practice
* Deliver teaching and learning that motivates and inspires learners to achieve
* Develop assessments and provide clear and constructive feedback to students
* Supervise practical activities, workshops, and work placements
* Facilitate learning by selecting material and methods appropriate to student needs
* Utilise technology, including virtual learning environments, effectively to enable independent learning
* Develop and use high-quality resources and teaching materials
* Embed career-related employability skills through teaching and learning
* Consistently challenge lateness and attendance concerns
* Establish and maintain relationships with individual students and groups to facilitate awareness of problems and difficulties
* Take part in reviews of course performance and contribute to curriculum development
* Participate in the development of external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning
Essential Criteria
* Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification
* Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification
* Track record of successful teaching experience across a range of levels including up to level 3
* Recent industry related experience relevant to the academic discipline
* Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements
* Understanding of value added and the use of progress performance measures
* Experience of developing and maintaining external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning.
