Position Overview:
The Corporate Manager will oversee and manage the multi-state day-to-day operations of the company’s fleet, material handling equipment management, safety programs, and building maintenance functions across all facilities. This role ensures that systems, policies, and procedures are effectively implemented to maintain operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety. The manager will develop strategies to optimize fleet performance, ensure compliance with safety standards, and coordinate facility maintenance activities across multiple states to create a safe and functional working environment. Additionally, this role will provide leadership and guidance to team members responsible for fleet, safety, and facility management, collaborating with departments across regions to align operational objectives with overall business goals. The manager will also develop and manage budgets for fleet operations, safety initiatives, and facility maintenance, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control at every location.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Management:
* Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s multi-state fleet and material handling equipment to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Enhance and streamline preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling for the fleet and material handling equipment, ensuring compliance with OSHA and transportation regulations across all locations.
* Optimize route planning and enhance routing capabilities across state and regional boundaries.
* Conduct driver and equipment operator training in collaboration with branch Outbound Management teams in each state.
* Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable pricing and improved service levels for all branches.
* Provide regional branch management with regular feedback on telematics and tracking systems (including Cameras, Pictures, DVIR, Elite).
* Review fleet data with senior management quarterly, focusing on multi-state proposals that align with our “Pain-Free Construction” objective.
Safety Programs:
* Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations at all facilities.
* Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training programs to promote a culture of safety across the organization.
* Work with insurance partners to develop a detailed and robust multi-state health and safety program.
* Continue to develop and promote safety team initiatives across all branches.
* Update and review safety policies periodically, ensuring they align with both regional and federal guidelines.
* Conduct safety training sessions, including New Hire Orientations, across multiple states.
* Present safety data and improvement proposals to senior management quarterly, ensuring alignment with our “Pain-Free Construction” objective.
Facility Management:
* Manage the upkeep and maintenance of company facilities across all locations, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
* Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and capital improvement projects in all regions.
* Collaborate with Operations and Warehousing teams to enhance operational designs in each facility.
* Establish and maintain comprehensive facility maintenance schedules tailored to regional needs.
* Propose and implement cost-saving initiatives related to infrastructure and facility management across all branches.
* Identify, prepare, and present the annual Capex and maintenance budget, along with a project schedule to oversee completion across multiple facilities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in fleet and material handling equipment management, safety programs, and facility maintenance, preferably in a multi-state environment.
* Strong understanding of regional and federal safety compliance regulations and best practices.
* Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams and locations.
* Familiarity with regional and national logistics and distribution models.
