A quick look at the role
The Account Manager is responsible for the commercial relationship between Biffa and its Major and SME clients. The role will cover financial performance, growth and development, contractual negotiations, meeting the relevant KPI’s and SLA’s, compliance, customer satisfaction and retention.

Your core responsibilities
* Ensure business account plans are implemented including service success, contract compliance, retention and pricing negotiations.
* Retention of corporate clients, through positive relationships and growth of service provision to ensure the achievement of budgeted revenue for the full year.
* Manage the tender and/or benchmarking and Response for Information (RFI) processes for clients and identify new development opportunities to deliver profitable growth.
* Complete customer reviews and present management information using Power BI.
* Set up new and amending existing contracts and purchase orders.
* Import data from Excel into the in-house database.
* Assist depots and customer services resolve issues arising from sites, which could include health and safety, container changes or the introduction of alternative services.
* Ensure customer debt position is maintained in line with contractual commitments.
* Route causing of QLS issues that result in either invoice delay or the production of credits, including supporting the Account Director or Manager in the resolution of queries relating to payments on accounts within the sector.
* Project manage and ensure that correct business processes are followed for successful mobilisation of new business up to £9M

* Experience of building and maintaining customer relationships
* Confident using business software and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
* Well organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work effectively
