Demonstrated knowledge of child development, adult mental ill health, substance misuse, and domestic abuse impacts on family dynamics. Familiar with professional capability frameworks and capable of exercising sound judgment in challenging situations. Open to training in and implementing the Signs of Safety practice model for risk assessment and safety improvement. Possess IT proficiency to manage records and reporting systems efficiently. Willing to undergo necessary checks due to the position's regulated nature involving vulnerable children. What the Job Involves Establish positive relationships with families to support children in need and enhance their family support structures. Manage caseloads including vulnerable clients, focusing on risk assessment and safety planning using the Signs of Safety model. Conduct regular child visits to understand their needs and ensure these are reflected in planning and interventions. Work within the legal and procedural frameworks to safeguard children effectively. Regularly assess and revise children's safety and care plans in response to changes or new assessments.
