We have an opportunity for an Area Planning Manager to join our busy Southern Water contract in Horsham to provide guidance, instruction and direction to our team of planners. Our Planners are an integral part of our operation they distribute work across a variety of teams, ensuring efficiency and that our clients targets are met. You will manage a team of planners who schedule work to direct gangs, sub-contractors and operatives responsible for a variety of our operational tasks. The team must ensure the highest levels of efficiency, quality and control, requesting all necessary permit requests and traffic management to plan any job safely. These are some of the activities you'll be involved in:
* Lead the Southern Water planning service at our Horsham office
* Lead and inspire your team to ensure requirements and resources are identified to complete any planning work safely, and in accordance with business and Client expectations
* Effective management of health, safety and well-being of your team
* Conduct regular appraisals, feedback sessions, and coaching to develop team members and ensure adherence to company policies.
* Report on performance management, compliance and KPI's
* Drive and embed a culture of continuous improvement, driving excellence in all processes, procedures and service provision
* Identify efficiency savings
* Supporting planning and scheduling works using various management information systems
