Salary: £36,047 per annum (including car allowance).
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

About the Housing Officer (Income) Role:
This role involves:
* Delivering high-standard income collection services with excellent customer service
* Supporting tenants with diverse needs
* Managing court processes and representing the organization at hearings
* Managing and collecting former tenant arrears
* Overseeing a patch of accounts, including face-to-face visits
* Handling incoming calls from automated income collection systems
* Identifying vulnerabilities and collecting with care
* Suggesting and implementing service improvements
* Participating in initiatives to enhance performance and service delivery
Your Experience:
Successful candidates will need:
Essential:
* Good general education, preferably with relevant professional qualification
* At least 1 year’s experience in income collection
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
* Advanced IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office
Desirable:
* At least 1 year’s experience in the social housing sector with knowledge of housing legislation
Applicants must be able to commute to either our Ashington or Durham office and hold a valid driving license.
