Responsibilities : Support objectives set by the Site Manager which in turn meet the needs of the Performance Products (PP) Business and its customers. Monitor and optimise plant performance daily to ensure safe, efficient and reliable plant operation Identify, design and implement process plant improvements / modifications through Management of Change process. Support and improve Safe Systems of Work programme including permit to work and Energy Isolation Procedures. Assist with Environmental compliance including monitoring performance. Support site Process Safety programme by assisting with Process Safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA etc). Provide engineering support to Operations, helping to troubleshoot and resolve plant performance issues. Ownership of site Operating procedures, responsible for keeping procedures compliant and making improvements when identified Assist with training of Operations personnel. Manage Operations records Requirements : Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or relevant subject area. Desirable : Knowledge of process equipment design and modelling software systems. Member of a recognised engineering or scientific institution with Professional Status. 1 to 2 years Process Engineering experience within the Oil, Chemical or allied Process Industries. Experience of leading site based improvement projects. Experience of Process Safety Management systems including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, MOC, SOP.
