Hours: Full Time, 37.5 Hours per Week(Hybrid workig) About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join the growing R&D Tax Service Line. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for R&D tax and the desire to help clients navigate the complexities of Research & Development tax relief. The successful candidate will have the chance to play an integral role in managing client portfolios, leading projects, and expanding their expertise in R&D tax claims. This role is ideal for someone seeking to take the next step in their career, with clear potential to progress into an Assistant Manager position. You’ll also have the chance to mentor junior team members as you build relationships with clients and continue to grow within the company. Key Responsibilities Collaborating closely with the R&D Manager to manage a diverse client portfolio. Participating in client meetings to discuss the R&D landscape, legislation, and to identify qualifying costs and technical projects. Working with clients to determine and document qualifying expenditure. Drafting technical descriptions of client projects to clearly and accurately present qualifying activities to HMRC. Preparing detailed submission reports and Additional Information Forms (AIFs). Supporting marketing and business development efforts to help grow the R&D tax service line. Skills and Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience in preparing R&D tax credit claims, including both technical and financial elements. Degree qualified. Ability to adapt to different clients, sectors, and requirements, providing tailored solutions to meet specific needs. Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CA, ACA, CTA) is beneficial but not essential. Support for professional qualification is available. Proven ability to handle client relationships and manage a busy portfolio. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
