Speech and Language Therapist - Paediatrics
Sanctuary Personnel, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency with a TrustPilot score of 4.9/5, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced NHS Band 6 Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join a well-established Speech & Language Therapy team based in Romford.
Specialism/Team: Paediatrics
Job Type & Hours: Locum - 5x days per week/37.5 hours
Pay Rate: £28.52 per hour (assignment rate)
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of clients with a range of identified needs, including social communication difficulties, such as Autism.
2. Provide high-quality speech and language therapy in conjunction with families and other professionals.
3. Work autonomously as a Specialist or Highly Specialist SLT within the community team.
4. Provide advanced assessment, clinical diagnosis, treatment, and management of communication difficulties in children.
5. Evaluate outcomes of assessments and provide advice and feedback to parents and professionals.
6. Devise and deliver appropriate highly specialist intervention/care plans for clients with complex communication needs.
7. Work as part of the integrated therapies team to ensure delivery of joined-up care plans.
8. Provide specialist training for other professionals in communication development and difficulties.
9. Assist in developing skills for colleagues including SLTs, SLTAs, and early years' staff.
10. Work collaboratively with family/carers and all agencies involved with the child's care.
11. Support the leadership of the children's speech and language service in Havering.

Requirements:
1. Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
2. Recent UK/NHS post-qualifying experience as a Speech and Language Therapist.
