YMCA Newark & Sherwood run a programme of sports activities for children age 5-17 and we are looking to recruit new Casual Sports
Leaders to join our casual team.
Predominately working Monday to Friday 4pm to 7pm and at weekends, you will lead engaging, interesting, and fun sports sessions.
If you have experience of leading and coaching sports activities we would love to hear from.
Some of the sports activities we currently provide include:
Football
Basketball
Multi-sports
Archery
...but we are open to providing different sports for the children and young people that use our facility to get the opportunity to
play for the first time.
You will need to be confident to lead the session, ensure the children's health & safety and that they are safeguarded the entire
time.
You will need to be able to prepare the session and ensure any supplies you require have been ordered etc.
You will work as part of a wider team and we would look for you to support our Sports Assistants as they develop their coaching
skills.
This is a great opportunity if you are looking for work outside a traditional school day. If you were able to work in the school
holidays, we have other programmes would you be able to work on too!
