Job Description Attendance Support Team Manager 6-month interim contract London £600-700 per day Inside IR35 (via umbrella) Hybrid working CV's are being reviewed immediately and interviews will be taking place week commencing 22 nd July Reporting into the Assistant Director of Education and Vulnerable Children, the role involves providing operational leadership to the Attendance Support team, ensuring the Council fulfils its statutory duties under the Education Act 1996 Section 444 to address poor school attendance. It requires offering educational direction and expertise through collaboration with schools and other services. Your Role as Attendance Support Team Manager You will be developing, leading, and managing interventions to improve school attendance across the borough, You will be working strategically with various agencies to support the council’s children. Includes leading practice development programs for the team You will be delivering training and engagement for school attendance leads, providing management oversight of officers You will be responsible for taking charge of monitoring and tracking attendance for all children in the council. Your previous experience as an Attendance Support Team Manager Proven track record in leading, managing, and delivering evidence-based interventions for children, young people, and families with challenging behaviours and complex needs through partnership working. Ability to develop innovative solutions and collaborative working methods, specific knowledge of policy, legislation, and practice related to children's participation in education, particularly the Education Act 1996 regarding school attendance Experience in managing teams to deliver outcomes and results. Vision, passion, and the ability to lead, influence, and challenge practices while maintaining professional relationships for the best outcomes. Experience in successful multi-agency and partnership working, including conflict resolution and effective management of differences.
