The types of work you may be involved in include: Providing excellent customer service. Cross department activities such as business planning, finance, recruitment support and team communications. Answering customer technical queries through our helpdesks. Processing simple permits and applications. Managing and protecting our records and data. Assisting the delivery of some aspects of compliance audits and enforcement work within regulations. Ad hoc administrative tasks. Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role. Whilst we are working flexibly between office locations and home, occasional travel to offices will be required. Your base location will be Warrington, Sheffield or Preston. Travel/commuting to your contractual office base location is at your own expense. The team These roles sit within Climate Change Trading and Regulatory Services (CCTRS). We regulate and administer various UK Government climate change schemes. The aim is to protect and improve our environment. Regimes include UK Emissions Trading Scheme, UK ETS Registry, Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases and Ozone Depleting Substances, Clean Heat Market Mechanism, Climate Change Agreements and Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme. These regimes are central to ensuring the UK is meeting targets relating to greenhouse gas emissions. Experience/skills Required Good organisational skills to manage a varied workload, as well as the ability to take personal responsibility for your own performance and development. The ability to consistently deliver work to high standards, meet targets and deliver deadlines across multiple areas of work. Strong interpersonal and communication skills - demonstrating the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external customers is essential. Ability to coordinate the collection, assessment and reporting of diverse and varied data. Self-motivating and forward thinking. Ability to interpret technical guidance.
