Are you interested in building your experience teaching Primary Aged Children?
Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working with a 2 form entry Primary School in the Weston-Super-Mare area who are seeking a HLTA to support their teaching staff when absence or PPA cover is needed.
You will be joining an energetic and hard-working team who are motivated to encourage independent learning by providing engaging environments for students to explore and be curious.
The Role
This role is a full-time position, starting ASAP where you will be working with the Teachers of the school to support interventions and PPA cover.
The Head Teacher is looking for a HLTA who will be happy to work throughout all year groups in the school, delivering pre-planned lessons and using your own initiative to adapt activities to meet the children’s needs.
You will also be working closely with the Teachers to develop core subject interventions to support individual children with their personal knowledge of English and Maths.
You will be expected to:
* Be able to engage children in their learning.
* Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
* Thrive on challenging children’s abilities.
* Have previous teaching experience and a great knowledge of the Primary Curriculum.
* Have experience working with SEND children in the past.
