What is the overall job?
This role will be based at Peterborough City Hospital in a Facilities Management role. You will be responsible for maintaining services including Electrical, Mechanical distribution systems, BMS and automation systems, nurse call and fire alarm systems in accordance with all current electrical and mechanical Regulations. Other key responsibilities will include:
* Act as a multi-skilled tradesman and pass on expert knowledge to other trades staff.
* Promote a flexible approach and encourage co-operation and versatility of skills.
* Accept delegate responsibility when necessary to advise and liaise with other hospital departments.
* Follow the management systems and work order procedures to ensure Multiplex meets all contractual KPIs.
* Liaise with and assist contractors when required, issuing Permits to Work and all necessary paperwork.
* Advise, communicate and work with the Statutory Inspectors and contractors on hospital systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
* Undertake complex fault diagnosis and fault rectification across the Peterborough City Hospital and the associated buildings.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
* Experience working as a craftsperson or in the health sector.
* Experience with PCs including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, email, etc.).
* Previous experience of managing a team.
* Able to carry out in-depth fault finding on complex electrical and mechanical systems.
