Main duties of the job
You will be expected to have broad experience of Urology Surgery with the ability and drive to contribute to the further development of the expertise in this area. The appointee will be proficient in all aspects of Urology Surgery. You will also be expected to fully participate in and support the Urology Surgery on-call rota. The successful applicants will also play an important part in the teaching and mentoring of our trainee doctors.

Qualifications
* Full GMC registration
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT or CESR (CP). Date to be within 6 months of interview
* Postgraduate training experience. Undergraduate teaching experience.
Experience
* Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on range of problems both emergency and elective within urology.
* Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
* Expertise in core urology
* Ability to organise and manage out-patient priorities, surgical waiting lists and operating lists
* Ability to advise on efficient and smooth running of urology service.
* Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical and surgical problems
* Ability to teach clinical and operative skills
* Experience of supervising Foundation doctors and Specialty trainees.
* Fellowship training
* Experience in Urology emergencies
* Ability to effectively manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team
