Fixed Term GP 6 month duration initially with view to permanent 2 – 4 sessions About us Auchenblae Medical Practice is a small Dispensing Practice with a population of approximately 2240 patients based in the picturesque rural village of Auchenblae, Kincardine and Mearns. We are a well-established surgery who pride ourselves on delivering quality patient centred care. Our friendly and welcoming staff currently consists of one GP partner; a Managing Partner; a salaried GP; Practice Nurse; Dispenser and supportive administrative team. We benefit from regular onsite site first contact Physiotherapist, CTAC nursing staff, and a Pharmacist. The Practice is very close to the A90 and AWPR and only a short commutable distance from Aberdeen City and Tayside. We are located approx. 10 minutes’ drive south of the town of Stonehaven. The Vacancy We are delighted to advertise for the position of General Practitioner, to join our friendly and forward thinking team. This is a 6 month fixed term position initially, with the view to go permanent on a salaried or partnership basis, without obligation. We are open to offering 2 to 4 sessions per week and are flexible on days. This could be a combination of both full and half days. Key characteristics of the Practice are: Relatively traditional GP model maintaining a strong emphasis on continuity of care. Friendly and supportive local community. No e-consult but a combination of telephone and face to face appointments (on the day and pre-bookable). Telephone triage system AM only. Adherence to safe working practices of the BMA, allocating typically on average 12 appointment per session. 15 minute appointments. Flexible working including option to consult remotely from home. Teaching Practice to 1 st and 2 nd year medical students. Scheduled time for GP administration. Shorter working day on Wednesday sessions. Use of clinical systems Vision and Docman.
