Reporting to the Operations Director, this role will oversee both client relationships and the day-to-day operational delivery of a range of M&E services with one of our key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day management of a geographically spread engineering team, ensuring that suitable staff are recruited, inducted, motivated, and trained to operate to company standards and processes.
* Ensuring contract objectives are fully achieved within budgets and targets, regularly reviewing, actioning, and reporting contract performance against objectives, budgets, and targets.
* Ensure that project/minor works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality levels.
* Responsibility for ensuring optimal operational and financial performance of the contract, ensuring all KPIs are achieved.
* Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability, and/or longer life.
* Deliver high-quality maintenance to meet contract SLAs and KPIs for reactive and planned maintenance across the contract.
* Maintain statutory compliance across the contract and manage/mitigate any risks.
* Develop and present regular business reports for all services covered under the contract, attending client meetings as required.
* Implement quality measures and procedures ensuring feedback and continuous improvement is achieved.
* Liaise and keep informed both the client and senior management team on all aspects of contract problems.
* Ensure business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the contract.
* Development of contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction, and contract growth, ensuring that these are met and exceeded.
* Provide a learning environment and appropriate training and development planning. Ensure basic training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles, and are able to reach their full future potential.
* Full P&L responsibilities for contracts within your remit.

* Excellent communicator with the ability to lead, motivate, and engage with employees and stakeholders alike at all levels.
* Exceptional analytical skills.
* Proven track record of delivering change in complex and demanding environments.
* Good commercial, management, and industry practices.
* Management of client relationships.
* Attendance at operations meetings and client meetings as required.
Specific Qualifications:
* Time-served Mechanical or Electrically trained individual.
* You will be required to undertake and pass an enhanced DBS check and undergo client-specific security clearance.
* Previous experience of managing hard FM contracts within the MOD/MOJ, Health or Prison Services, or other Government/Local Authority environments preferred but not essential.
