We are looking for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years PQE to contribute to the expansion of the team and take on a diverse and dynamic caseload. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of commercial property matters, collaborate with colleagues on cross-functional projects, and actively participate in marketing and business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Client Portfolio Development : Build and grow your client portfolio using effective marketing, social media, networking, and cross-referrals. Broad Client Work : Handle a wide range of commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant arrangements, property sales and purchases, leases and lease extensions. Client Interaction : Provide professional advice in writing, over the phone, or in-person, maintaining detailed records and meeting notes. Legal Submissions : Ensure all necessary searches are conducted and handle submissions to The Land Registry. New Business Development : Manage new enquiries, cultivate relationships with existing clients, and grow established contacts. Compliance & Risk : Follow compliance policies, manage client expectations, and mitigate potential risks effectively. Case Management : Maintain efficient case and file management to ensure high-quality service delivery. Team Development : Mentor and support other team members, contributing to their professional growth. CPD Participation : Actively engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on legal developments. Marketing & Networking : Contribute to the firm’s marketing efforts by delivering webinars and podcasts, participating in local networking events, and supporting the firm's overall business development initiatives. Charity & Community Involvement : Participate in charity events to help the firm support the local community. Ideal Candidate: Experience : At least 4 years PQE in a Commercial Property team. Skills & Expertise : Strong experience with business tenancy arrangements, commercial landlord/tenant work, Party Wall Act negotiations, and property developments. Familiarity with purchasing commercial properties for conversion to residential dwellings. Knowledge of Lexcel requirements. High standards of work quality, with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, adaptable to a wide range of stakeholders. IT proficiency including experience with case management systems, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Self-motivated, with the ability to perform to targets. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, supporting team members where needed.
