Job Description
Large manufacturing company is looking for an experienced mechanic with strong skills to join our team. Candidate must be proficient in diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment as well as building and refurbishing new equipment. The machinery includes, but is not limited to, high-speed stamping, wire drawing, and metal shaping equipment.
Candidate must be able to work from blueprints, drawings, or take measurements to plan new or complete repair projects. The candidate must be able to work well unsupervised as well as in a team setting. The candidate must be able to diagnose and repair mechanical failure with the ability to learn and adapt under different circumstances. Some electrical experience is helpful.
Must be able to work efficiently to complete projects on a timely basis. Proper use of PPE is a must and the candidate needs to provide their own set of hand tools.
Must speak fluent English.

Ability to:
1. Proficiently use most types of hand tools
2. Read a micrometer and Vernier
3. Operate various shop equipment (drill press, grinder, belt sander)
4. Diagnose industrial machinery
5. Understand lubrication, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems
6. Work in an organized and safe workmanlike manner
7. Manage time efficiently
8. Communicate issues with coworkers and managers
