We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Registered Manager to work in an Ofsted registered children's 3 or 4 bedroom residential home.
Our client offers a fully integrated approach to Education, Care, and Clinical support for young people aged 8 to 18 years, who come to them on a full-time, residential basis from across the country, with a range of Autistic Spectrum and associated complex needs.
Our teams will have the chance to build an amazing landscape for nurturing and developing the creativity and imagination of our children and young people.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Manager to work as part of the senior management team and lead a team of hardworking and committed team leaders and support workers. The successful candidate will provide strong, strategic leadership to drive regulatory success. They will ensure our children and young people enjoy a safe and happy home environment whilst developing their life skills and independence under the guidance and support of the care, therapy, and education teams.
You will be able to demonstrate a highly developed awareness of safeguarding, team management, and challenges associated with a diagnosis of Autism and other complex difficulties. You will also need to apply the principles of care management and use your exceptional organisational skills together with a high level of accuracy to ensure the efficient running of a successful care home.
Your excellent people skills will:
1. Provide inspirational leadership to the staff team.
2. Offer compassionate support and encouragement to our children, young people, and staff.
3. Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, understanding competing demands of the different professionals.
4. Develop strong working relationships with a range of professionals to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and best outcomes for the children and young people we support.
5. Provide support and guidance to families.
Essential:
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience within a similar role.
2. Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting (not adults) and fit the Ofsted requirement to be registered as an RM.
3. Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (Children).
4. Experience dealing with non-verbal/challenging behaviours and autism in children.
