AES Sustainability Limited is an award-winning consultancy firm that works with some of the leading UK housebuilders and developers, delivering high quality energy and sustainability advice and assessments to the construction and property industries. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day HR queries, guiding on policies, processes and HR systems. The successful candidate will also support the day-to-day operations of the people services department. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building effective working relationships with colleagues. Attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to work independently while demonstrating a solid understanding of HR policies, employment law, and best practices. Excellent all-round IT skills are also required to support various HR processes and systems effectively. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Be the first point of contact for foundation level people queries and offer HR expertise to colleagues and managers as necessary. Provide general administrative support to the People Services team. Ensure that payroll administration is accurately collated and collaborate with the Finance team to guarantee that all colleagues are paid correctly and on time. Maintain records, files and spreadsheets in line with data protection legislation. Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting. Support the recruitment process as required including drafting job descriptions, scheduling interviews and assisting in the onboarding of candidates. Become a subject matter expert on company and HR policies, helping to ensure that the business always remains fully compliant. Maintain and coordinate employee training and accreditation records. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Be computer literate and have a good level of general education, particularly in Maths and English. Be able to self-manage a busy and time-critical schedule of work. Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and able to maintain a positive professional attitude when under pressure. Experience of advising and supporting colleagues and managers with foundation level people queries. Exposure to HR Systems is desirable.
