Job Description: We are currently recruiting a Tooling Technician to provide expert maintenance and support across our high-volume manufacturing environment. You’ll play a vital role in both reactive and proactive maintenance activities, helping to reduce breakdowns and improve overall efficiency. As a Tooling Technician, you will carry out planned and preventative maintenance on tooling equipment, respond swiftly to machine stoppages, and work to identify and resolve root causes of equipment failure. You’ll maintain accurate documentation of repairs and ensure compliance with company safety and 5S standards. Your daily work as a Tooling Technician will be hands-on and diverse, requiring a practical mindset and a proactive attitude to improve tool life, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement across the site. Skills & Experience: To be successful in this Tooling Technician role, you’ll need: An apprenticeship in toolmaking or tool repair (HNC minimum preferred) Hands-on experience operating milling machines, lathes, and grinders Competency in TIG, MIG, or MMA welding A solid understanding of press tool operations Ability to use hand tools such as files and grinders Experience in assembling and disassembling tooling Previous experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment (automotive experience desirable) Why Should You Apply?
