Electrical Manager and Qualifying Supervisor Full-Time | Permanent A reputable company within the electrical services industry is seeking a skilled Electrical Manager to also serve as the Qualifying Supervisor (QS) following successful completion of a NICEIC Assessment. This individual will oversee the electrical division, managing site supervisors, field engineers, and subcontractors across various projects. The role reports directly to the directors and requires comprehensive oversight of all electrical operations within the company. Key Responsibilities The Electrical Manager and QS will: Act as the main contact between the Project Manager, site supervisors, and field engineers. Oversee financial performance and reporting for all projects. Manage and coordinate works from design through completion and handover to clients. Lead daily site operations to ensure timely and successful project completion. Develop and adjust work programs, addressing variations or delays while notifying clients. Collaborate with management to allocate appropriate labour and subcontractor resources. Plan and organize labour and materials to meet project specifications. Supervise and motivate site staff and subcontractors, ensuring engagement and performance. Maintain standards in workmanship, materials, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures on-site. Attend and occasionally lead weekly review meetings with clients, supervisors, and engineers. Foster positive relationships with clients, staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Oversee preparation and documentation of RAMS, toolbox talks, and inspection & test results. Ensure timely verification of inspection and testing to prevent delays and claims. Manage all aspects of contracts from pre-start to completion and submission of final O&M documents. Keep updated on regulations including BS7671, BS5839, and BS5266. Serve as the company’s Qualifying Supervisor for NICEIC assessments, adhering to rules of enrollment. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation City & Guilds 18th Edition Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent Experience in fault finding, test and inspection Experience in maintenance, social housing, domestic, and commercial sectors, including fire alarms and emergency lighting Skills and Experience: Highly organized and self-motivated Strong time management and ability to prioritize workload Effective communicator with people at all levels Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines Minimum 7 years of electrical experience and 3 years in project or contract management Good commercial acumen and knowledge of health and safety practices Full driving license Previous experience as an NICEIC QS Package Salary : £60,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience Benefits : Company vehicle and fuel card or car allowance 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), with an additional day per year of service Pension scheme Generous referral scheme (£500 per successful recommendation) Reviews : 3-month initial review, followed by annual salary reviews This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership role within an established electrical services company.
