The Housekeeping Department are looking for Cleaning Assistants to join the Team, working onsite at Salisbury District Hospital. The role involves cleaning in Clinical and non-clinical areas providing and maintaining the highest standard of cleaning to all areas such as wards and departments. Ensuring at all times the highest degree of cleanliness, safety and care.
Flexible working options will be considered for this role. Shift patterns include:

Part-time
* 1 x Twilight shift 20.00pm - 00.00 Midnight Monday to Friday 20 hrs. a week
* 4 x Weekend shifts 7.00am - 12.00am Saturday & Sunday 10hrs. a week
Full-time
* 2 x Early Shifts 6.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday and 2 x Early Shifts 7.00am - 3.00pm 37.5 hrs. a week
* 3 x Late shift 12.00noon - 20.00pm Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs. a week
Full training and uniform is provided for your role. The base hourly rate is £12.08.

Main duties of the job
Our Team provides a safe and clean environment for our Patients and visitors by:
* Adhering to Trust Policies and Procedures, ensuring the use of safe working practices and that the highest standards are maintained.
* Maintaining clean and hygienic conditions in all allocated areas including wards, offices, and public areas, to ensure cleaning quality standards are met and complied with.
* Observing the Trust’s ‘Colour Coding’ for cleaning equipment and materials.
* Taking responsibility for the stores, cleaning equipment and associated products, following the prescribed Housekeeping, Security and Health and Safety guidelines, ensuring stock is stored in a secure and safe manner. Replenishing stock as and when required.
* Conducting periodic floor maintenance and deep clean in order to achieve and maintain pre-determined cleaning standards and to set up HPV equipment.
* Helping to support the Prevention and Control of infection by maintaining a clean and safe environment.
