Job Title: LCV Technician Location: Maidstone, Kent. Salary: £32,000/£42,000 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our fleet of light commercial vehicles is maintained to a high standard, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. The LCV Technician will carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of LCVs, including preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on light commercial vehicles (LCVs) in line with manufacturer and company specifications. Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and interpret diagnostic test results. Conduct thorough inspections and identify necessary repairs to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Use electronic diagnostics tools to troubleshoot issues effectively and efficiently. Perform engine, transmission, and suspension repairs as needed. Complete repair orders and job sheets accurately and on time. Advise on parts and material requirements for necessary repairs or maintenance. Ensure vehicles are repaired and returned to service as quickly as possible, minimizing downtime. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Keep up to date with industry advancements, tools, and techniques relevant to LCVs. Key Requirements Experience: Proven experience in servicing and repairing LCVs in a professional workshop environment. Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to use a wide range of diagnostic and repair tools. Good communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain repairs and requirements. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Licenses: Full UK driving license (preferably including Category B/C1). Desirable Attributes Previous experience working with a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles. Familiarity with a variety of LCV brands and models. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to meet deadlines. HGV license would be advantageous but not essential.
