Sameday Transport Solutions are seeking an experienced and highly organised Transport Administrator to join their small team. The role is permanent and after the initial training period (in Welwyn Garden City) you will be home-based. The Transport Administrator s responsibilities include: Ta king calls and emails from suppliers, clients and drivers Booking in and managing deliveries Ensuring seamless communication with the client throughout the delivery job. A good working knowledge of excel is essential. Strong project - management and planning/communication skills plus a good telephone manner and attention to detail are vital. Key Responsibilities: Reviewing customer requirements and suggesting vehicle types and freight charges Booking jobs and quotes for clients using approved contractors on Haulage Exchange / Polish Trans Platforms Obtaining Export / Import Documents via approved UK / EU brokers Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods Coordinating loading and unloading activities Planning daily transportation schedules and assigning drivers Liaising with drivers for smooth movement of goods and materials Keeping a daily log of all your jobs and ensuring these are updated on a spreadsheet Handling any customer complaints and processing the urgent ones to the Senior Management To provide effective administrative support Assisting the company director in other duties to support with finance.
