Job Description:
Portfolio Costing Lead
This role will require the individual to work in a highly collaborative environment both within Leonardo UK across our sites and with our industrial partners. The role is responsible for the consolidation, interpretation and analyse of our costing data. Ensuring accuracy and compliance to contractual pricing principles to support our financial reporting responsibilities and timelines. This role will require the individual to manage the day-to-day workload of the existing costing team. Ensuring accuracy and compliance to contractual financial reporting, overseeing the consolidation, interpretation and analyse of our costing data. You will be expected to work closely within the FCAS PMO and provide expertise and assistance to our Work Package Leads in understanding the cost drivers and contribute to driving efficiencies to increase affordability.
What you will do:
1. Develop and support complex estimating models to help support future bids.
2. Manage the day-to-day workload of existing costing team
3. Advocate for process improvement to drive efficiencies within the team
4. Presenting estimating requirements to internal stakeholders
5. Consolidation of multiple line of business inputs.
6. Performing data analysis to support affordability and pricing discussions with key stakeholders around contract proposals and internal business cases.
7. Ensuring pricing adherence to the latest company standards.
8. Ensuring integrity and accuracy is maintained within the estimates.
9. Longer Term Focus on future funding requirements.
10. Providing support into Tender Vetting process.
Your skills and experiences:
11. Strong Understanding of estimating processes
12. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Ability to create estimating models)
13. Strong financial analysis skills
14. Good organisational skills, demonstrated through ability to plan, prioritise and self-manage;
15. Good communicator and able to build relationships internally and externally
16. Understanding of Economic variables that could affect long-term pricing.
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to present and challenge at various levels of the organisation
18. Analytical and logical nature with a strong desire for continuous improvement and personal development
19. A Pro-active and dynamic individual who can work collaboratively and are able to recognise, develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all levels of the business
Desirable
20. ERP System (SAP) experience
21. Dashboard (Power BI) experience
22. Understanding of Project Management principles (Lifecycle management)
23. Experience of change management and continuous improvement tools and techniques
24. Understanding of Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies desirable
25. Experience in industry standard, portfolio programme delivery, project control methodologies and governance
26. Experienced and proven risk management capability
