Together with the Site Management Team and under the direction of the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of production of Cemfuel on the Heysham site. This includes continuous improvement and cost control within the defined area of responsibility. You will ensure the safe operation of the Cemfuel at the Heysham site and minimize any potential accidents or environmental incidents. Daily liaison with the kilns and Transport department is required to ensure the kiln customer's requirements for Cemfuel are met. Do you have what it takes? Tasks will include:
* The loading and unloading of bulk materials for SLF blending and dispatch to kiln.
* Operation (including start-up and shut-down) of SLF blending plant and associated duties, whilst adhering to correct procedures and Health and Safety regulations.
* Reporting any actual or potential unsafe incident/action to the Shift Manager and taking immediate corrective action to make the situation safe before reporting via the Near Miss system.
* Following and completing daily shift instructions as directed by the Shift Manager.
* Operation of site vehicles, including forklift trucks.
* Completion of all relevant documentation, both on paper and computer data-entry, e.g., into SAP and any relevant spreadsheets.
Knowledge:
* Chemical awareness
* Experience in the hazardous waste industry, particularly acid/alkali neutralisation processes, is desirable.
