Nursery Assistant - 1 Year Fixed Term in the first instance. Term Time Only 30 hours per week - 8.30am to 3.15pm
The Headteacher and governors are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Assistant / or Level 2 with a desire to obtain Level 3 Childcare Qualification to join our supportive and friendly team on a 1 Year Fixed Term basis in the first instance. Randlay Primary School & Nursery is a happy and successful school with an established, thriving Nursery. Our Nursery fosters a love of learning through creative, play based activities that develop children's skills, confidence and curiosity. Our motto, 'Working together as one' underpins the values of our school. We are seeking to appoint an experienced practitioner who will complement our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will need to have thorough knowledge of the EYFS curriculum as they will be a key worker for a group of children. Tasks will vary but will include supporting the teacher to ensure that the Nursery environment is well prepared, stimulating and interest rich, aiming for the best possible outcomes.
The successful candidate will:
* Have the energy, drive and enthusiasm to help children learn.
* Have strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
* Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop key skills such as communication, numbers and problem solving.
* Have patience, creativity and the ability to build positive relationships with young children.
* Ensure a safe and stimulating environment where children feel secure and valued.
* Support children with personal care as and when necessary.
* Work in partnership with parents, carers and external agencies to promote children's well-being and development.
