Project Engineer - Acoustic Engineering
Salary Guide: £40,000 pa

Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 40 hours

Due to continued growth, this respected, established market leader, who designs and manufactures acoustic ventilation systems and enclosures for large industrial applications, is looking to recruit an Acoustic Specialist to project manage all aspects from early stages to completion. Activities will include supervising environmental sound surveys, calculations, and EIA chapter drafting. The role also involves maintaining and developing contacts with key clients. The successful candidate will prepare project scopes and fee proposals. Candidates will need to be organised to manage and deliver timely and commercially successful outputs.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
2. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Ensure project scope is clearly communicated to the internal Design and Manufacturing teams, with milestone dates agreed, to prevent delays.
4. Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for new projects.
5. Capture changes to the project scope and liaise with the sales team for any additional quoted costs.
6. Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and user manuals.
7. Provide technical support to production and installation teams.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Requirements:
1. Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
2. Familiarity with EIA chapter drafting is beneficial.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar 2D/3D software.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. UK Driving Licence required.
