An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Key Account Manager to join our client’s successful team in St Albans.
About our client:
Our client is a family run business, with father and son at the helm, supported by their fabulous team, working across two sites to deliver food service needs when it comes to beverages, baking, ice cream and desserts.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing and working within a small team you will have responsibility for providing outstanding account management to our client’s top accounts.
On a day to day basis you will:
* Maintain and develop long-term relationships with key national accounts.
* Identify opportunities to grow accounts and secure new business.
* Be the primary point of contact for these accounts
* Deliver an outstanding customer experience
* Manage key stake holder expectations
* Manage commercials, forecasting, contracts and agreements to maximise revenue and ensure mutually beneficial terms.
* Working closely with internal teams, including marketing, new product development, and operations, to ensure cohesive service delivery.
* Develop a strong understanding of the market, alongside keeping up-to-date with what’s happening in the market and aware of industry trends.
* Analyse sales data, and present on performance, opportunities and risks.
* Work closely with the Head of Sales and Marketing and the Managing Director to implement the sales strategy through key accounts.
* £45,000-£55,000 salary plus performance related commission
* 20 days annual leave – increasing with service plus 3 days off over Christmas

What we would like from you:
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate their experience of managing large accounts, ideally within a Food Manufacturing or Food Service environment within the UK. You will have a strong background in customer service, relationship management, dealing with multiple projects and being commercially knowledgeable.
Ideal candidates will have worked as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager or similar Commercial roles within the Food Manufacturing sector.
You should also be someone who has a passion for food, gets things done and understands how to strategically develop accounts. Our client will consider candidates currently working at this level within a large corporate operation or ones ready to take the next step onto this level.
