We are seeking an Activity Co-ordinator to join our team at Risedale at Lonsdale here in Barrow in Furness, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.
Responsibilities of the Activity Co-ordinator:
1. Plan, organise and carry out group and one-to-one activities for all the residents in the home.
2. Liaise with other staff in the home and contribute to the general care of the residents.
3. Liaise with families and outside organisations to plan and involve them in activities.
4. Being a friend to the residents; being there to listen to them, support them and enable them to live the life they want to live.
5. Plan and carry out fundraising activities.
Requirements of the Activity Co-ordinator Role:
The job involves working at Risedale at Lonsdale, Albert Street, Barrow in Furness, 37.5 hours per week, shifts to be agreed with the manager once employment commences. £12 per hour.
No experience is necessary but the right personal attributes are key. Our residents want someone who is bubbly, friendly and confident and at the same time gentle, caring and compassionate.
The ideal candidate will be organised with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
