We are currently hiring for the position of a Job Developer/ Job Coach for a Pathways to Employment.
Position Title: Job Developer / Job Coach

Employment Type: Short-term Contractor, Part-Time Casual (As needed by program participants, 5 – 10 hours per week)
Contract Period: September 23rd, 2024 – December 31, 2024
Compensation: $20 – $25 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Market Research & Employer Engagement: Research and identify companies, industries, and growth sectors that are hiring. Meet with employers to promote the program and discuss potential client matches with job opportunities. Negotiate workplace employment opportunities on behalf of clients.
* Workforce Integration & Client Support: Facilitate long-term employment by matching clients with roles that align with their skills and career goals. Provide orientation and support to clients as they transition into their new roles, ensuring they understand workplace duties and can reach their maximum employment potential.
* On-the-Job Coaching: Work with clients on-site to help them learn and perform their job tasks effectively. Assist with developing the interpersonal skills necessary for workplace success, and visit work sites to understand job requirements and environments.
* Placement Assistance: Help clients locate and secure work placements, ensuring these opportunities meet their needs and the expectations of employers.
* Client Service Excellence: Ensure that client services are delivered professionally and with empathy, adhering to established processes. Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager to address any issues or concerns that arise.
* Reporting: Complete daily time and accountability reports, submit weekly statistical reports, and prepare a final report upon program completion, all of which are to be submitted to the Executive Director.
Who You Are:
* Educational Background: You have a bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field such as psychology, social services, or education. Alternatively, you have at least 2 years of experience in counseling or a related helping profession that can substitute for formal education.
* Skilled Communicator: You possess excellent communication, organizational, and facilitation skills, allowing you to effectively engage with clients and employers.
* Self-Motivated & Adaptable: You are self-directed, highly motivated, and able to adapt to changing circumstances and client needs.
* Computer Savvy: You have good computer skills, enabling you to manage reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
* Sound Judgment: You exercise sound judgment and tact when dealing with a variety of people, maintaining professionalism in all situations.
* Team Player: You work collaboratively with team members, fostering a cooperative environment and taking initiative to get the job done.
* Confidentiality: You understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality for both clients and employees.
* Criminal Record Check: You are able to provide a satisfactory and current Criminal Records check.
