Design Support Engineer (Elec)
ESP are seeking an enthusiastic, analytical and forward-thinking Design Support Engineer to ensure the safe adoption of distribution networks operating up to 11kV, ensuring that ESP specifications are met. Reviewing expanding network demand and maintaining a high standard of the asset register is vital to ESP's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensuring compliance with design, construction and safety standards as appropriate.
2. Liaison with customers over network design issues to ensure compliance with ESP design and construction policies and standards.
3. Management of applications for connections on to the upstream operator's network associated with ESP managed networks.
4. Verification of applications for connections on to the upstream operator's network made by customers associated with asset adoption works.
5. Manage applications made by other network operators or customers for connections on to ESP networks including evaluation of any network reinforcement requirements.
6. Manage the relationship between ESP and all upstream parties for capacity and demand negotiations.
7. Delivery of CAD designs and drawings where required.
8. Development of safety and risk assessment requirements required at the design and adoption stages of a project.
9. Ensuring that the requirements of the ESPUG's Health and Safety Policy are met.
10. Ensuring that the requirements of the ESPUG's Asset Management System are met.
11. Participation in reviews and updates of the current operational procedures and technical standards.
