Being a Part-Time Logistics Coordinator, you will be a part of the Sense Colour Business Unit working on-site in Overseal, Derbyshire and reporting directly to the Transport Manager. The Overseal site is a manufacturer of Food Ingredients.
The Outbound Transport Assistant coordinates and executes outbound shipments up to the shipment departure, creates transport and export documents and supports inbound processes on request.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Export administration operations on site
2. Support Transport Manager on daily operations
3. Coordinate and perform shipping of products, pick up times and carriers to meet shipping dates
4. Collaborate with Quality control, Customer Care, Planning and Dispatch, in keeping with shipment schedule.
5. Monitor shipment information in SAP
6. Support accuracy of data in shipments to allow efficient execution of End-to-end process and reporting
7. Responsible for issuing and collating required Transport documents
8. Monitor compliance with all documentation with transport regulations
9. Maintain records/archive of shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory.
10. Follow and support all customer specific requirements given by customer Care
11. Work with all partners to anticipate any change in activity of shipments
12. Coordinate transport complaints and implement corrective solution within due time.
13. Coordinate end to end of shipment planning process
14. Work with Trade Affairs on customs clearance compliance
15. Obtain quotes from Hauliers
16. To perform other general administrative tasks.
Academic Background
1. Educated to core curriculum
2. Good English reading and writing
Professional Experience
1. 1 to 2 years of experience in Shipping/Logistics, in a manufacturing environment or related background
Desirable Technical Skills
1. Understanding of shipping regulations, shipping documents and incoterms
2. Knowledge of transportation supplier landscape/3PL/4PL
3. SAP experience
Work Hours
1. 20 hours per week Monday to Friday
2. Proposed hours 10am - 2.30pm with half hour break
3. Start time and finish time can be adjusted
4. Flexibility required for holiday cover
