The Scarborough Hospital Urgent and Emergency Care Centre, (UECC), are looking to recruit Healthcare Support Workers You will be responsible for supporting the care of patients within the UECC. The facility consists of the emergency department and same day emergency care. If successful you will be invited to interview and will be allocated within one of the two areas within the UECC. As you can imagine, the work area is fast paced and sometimes challenging but you will have exciting opportunities to learn and utilise many new and different skills., As a Healthcare Support Worker at Scarborough Hospital, you will be part of a multi-professional team providing high standards of care to our patients. You will maintain and promote patient independence and dignity to ensure each patient receives a positive experience. You will often be one of the first faces a patient sees when coming in to the hospital and need to be able to communicate at all levels and provide high standards of safe patient care at all times.
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will be expected to work a combination of shifts including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays:
* Early - 07:30-15:30
* Late - 12:30 - 20:30
* Long days - 07:30 - 20:30
* Night - 19:30 - 07:30
You must be able to commit to our Full Time HCSW Academy for the first 4 weeks of your employment with our Trust. Please note our HCSW Academy takes place at our training site in Holgate, York.
