We are looking for a Courier Driver to work within the Oldham area, working on our Oldham NHS Property Services contract.
This is a full time position working 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
The hourly rate is £11.44.
You MUST have held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points
The main purpose of this courier driver role will be to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods and equipment.
The role will require excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards. Using electronic and paper based forms of recording jobs and items delivered and collected, making sure that all courier jobs are carried out correctly and on time.
The Main responsibilities are:
1. To carry out courier journeys to various locations and to agreed routes and timings.
2. To complete digital and manual documentation required by both legislation and organisational procedures
3. To maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems
4. To ensure all items are kept safe and secure at all times
5. To comply at all times with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle
6. To act as customer contact at delivery points of service, and relay relevant information to the operations office
7. To complete vehicle checks prior to use, and to notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation
8. To act in a polite and courteous manner to customers and road users at all times
