We'd like you to join us as a Staff Nurse (Mental Health) within our newly opening Neurobehavioral unit at our Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Nottingham.
At Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, we offer rehabilitation, care and support to people with a brain injury or other neurological condition.

We provide a psychology led multi-disciplinary treatment model to deliver a high quality, specialist service for people who have a neuro disability or acquired brain injury.
• Experience and/or knowledge in ‘Positive Behavioral Support’ advantageous
• Experience in Neurorehabilitation advantageous
What you'll be working:
We're flexible, so you'll work a total 38.5 hours per week, days & nights on a rota basis.
What you'll be doing:
* To be an active participant in the multidisciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilizing appropriate assessments.
* To give care and support to individuals, with physical and cognitive impairments as a result of brain injury or other progressive neurological condition.
* To administer medicine within the guidelines and framework of the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
* To liaise effectively with all actively involved in the care process, including carers and relatives, aspiring to provide an effective, seamless and integrated service to patients/residents.
* To maintain and update relevant knowledge and skills; maintain a professional portfolio and participate in further training as appropriate, in order to enhance quality of care for patients/residents and carers.
* To comply with the Active Care Group Health and Safety Policies and Protocols in order to contribute to safe working practices.
* Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient.
* To adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour period.
* To maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in line with Infection Prevention Control guidance within the clinical environment minimising the risk of cross infection.
* Working autonomously with confidence and competence to provide a highly specialised and safe service to the patient.
What you'll have:
• A current NMC Pin registration (MENTAL HEALTH)
• A legal right to work in the U.K.
• Experience and/or knowledge in ‘Positive Behavioral Support’ advantageous
• Experience in Neurorehabilitation advantageous
