Context
SYSTRA is looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high-profile infrastructure projects such as Transpennine Upgrade and HS2. We are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.
We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in London, initially working as part of our HS2 Old Oak Common project team, by recruiting experienced Design Managers to manage the delivery of design. This position within our Design Management team will suit a committed and ambitious engineer who can demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills combined with commercial awareness and the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team. The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the relevant disciplines. We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience within Civil Engineering on Infrastructure Projects.

Missions/Main Duties
Working in collaboration with our designers and contract partners, the Design Manager will be involved in a variety of tasks such as:
1. Adopt a cost-effective, high quality, safe and environmentally responsible approach to design, construction, commissioning and other technical activities on relevant projects, compliant with all relevant legislation.
2. Manage the coordination between the design and construction teams.
3. Manage delivery and coordination of all aspects of the Old Oak Common JV station work packages.
4. Liaise with the wider design team to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables across all areas of the project.
5. Delivery of work to programme, budget and specification.
Profile/Skills
* Degree qualified within a relevant discipline.
* Experience of managing the coordination of multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects.
* Experience managing design delivery programme and budget.
* Broad Design Engineering experience gained on infrastructure projects.
* Good understanding of CDM regulations.
* NEC3 contract experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Working experience with ProjectWise and Bentley Systems.
* Professional Institution membership.
